Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday was our 12th Anniversary. I can't believe we've been married that long, but on the other hand it seems like Seth has always been part of my life. I am the luckiest person alive to have such a wonderful husband and partner. I know it's cliche' but Seth is truly my best friend and I'm a better person having had him in my life. He is the best father I could ever hope for for my kids, and the most patient loving person ever (it's hard to believe that life isn't always a picnic with me.) He works harder than anyone I know, but also knows how to have fun. I can't believe how handy he is around the house. He knows how to do everything, it's amazing! I love you babe and can't wait to grow old and gray with you. You go first...

So, I was lucky enough to get to go to girl's camp with the girls from church last week. We left Tuesday and headed up to WY where they have a place set up for the girl's camps. Seth decided that he would also play hooky a couple of days last week and took the boys up camping also in WY. So LUCKY ME!! I left the Girl's camp on Saturday morning and joined up with the boys. It was sad that I was looking forward to spending the night in the camper, while everyone else couldn't wait to get HOME... I did have a real bed, solid walls around me and a shower, so it was all good... Taylor looks as tired as I felt, but as you'll notice I'm not posting any pics of me. You're welcome.

Day 5 & 6... Bear with me, it's almost over!

Day 5 was a great day at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I couldn't believe that we weren't tired of parks yet, but we weren't apparently.

The Revenge of the Mummy was a great indoor rollercoaster similar to Space mountain. Yes, you're completely in the dark. Yikes! This was Seth's favorite ride for the whole week.

This once was the house of the Cleaver family. (Leave it to Beaver) Now it sits on Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives) Oh how times have changed...

Drew doesn't look like he's enjoying being eaten by a shark. (Jaws)

Taylor on the other hand could write a book on how to look cool doing almost anything including being eaten by a shark.

We ate dinner at the Hard Rock cafe here in Hollywood. The boys are in this picture, just not very visibly. The photog isn't very talented at the flash vs. no flash thing.

Time to head for the airport. The boys had their own room with bunk beds in our hotel, it was great.

I think I was ready to get home, ya think?

On the way to the airport we stopped at Long Beach to write Seth's sister Darci this note for her Birthday. (#27 in case you're wondering)

We had some extra time to kill at the airport, Drew opted for a nap after a long week of late nights, lots of lines, great rides, shows and an all around wonderful family vacation!

Day 4 cont. California Adventure

I took this at night (thank you Captain Obvious) so hopefully you can still see it ok I just thought it looked so cool. This is outside of CA Adventure.

I am in love with this bench! It was in the Bug's Life part and I took a picture of it so Seth can build me one once we've started and then completed our collection of old tractor seats.

Isn't that the cutest bench you've ever seen? (easily impressed...maybe)

This was the ride that Seth and I gracefully declined. The boys went all by themselves. Parents of the Year awards here we come!

They loved it! I think they used up their quota of "awesomes!" for the day on that one.

However, California Screamin' was one of the best rollercoasters I've ever been on. Very fast, but smooth. Highly recommended. 5 stars!

Day 3 & 4 Disneyland

Here we are at Disneyland, the craziest place on earth...

Hard to believe that Drew would choose such an impractical souvenier...

The Buzz Light Year ride got a little competitive. I think Taylor won by just a few, but Seth sure tried hard!

This is an oldie but a goodie. I don't remember ever really listening to the guide before, but they are hilarious. Very sarcastic dry humor, right up my ally.

What?! I'm not screaming, I'm yelling "Bring it on Splash Mountain!"

Splash mountain won.

Yeah for the matterhorn! (sp?) Great but very rough ride. The kids liked this one a lot.

This is my favorite picture from the whole trip. It almost looks like they're skipping, but we know Seth a little better than that, don't we? Such a good daddy though...tear.

Day Two... Sea World

Here we are at Sea World. Seth's really happy to be here, he just smiles on the inside...

Here's Trent, clearly he smiles inside, outside and everywhere in between. He's gotta be top 5 cutest kids ever. ;)

Yikes! Walking through the glass tunnel in Shark encounter is a little unnerving. You can't help but get that one theme song running through your head. How does is go? Oh yeah. Doo doo, doo doo, doo doo... You get the scenario.

Here we are clearly sitting out of the "Splash Zone" at the Shamu show. (Drew moved down after this because he wanted to get wet) Apparently Shamu doesn't read very well because we did get very wet. "Trent was pissed!" that's a quote from Cam. He was just falling asleep and got splashed, not a happy camper!

How fun would that job be?

Here's Drew happily in the "Splash Zone." I'm not sure how much water he's able to deflect with his little hands, but he's sure trying hard!

Somebody should tell this whale that he weighs almost 10,000 pounds and there's no reason he should be able to get himself that far out of the water...

In the background of this picture there are (count 'em) 5 killer whales. That is so amazing and awesome to me. They are humongous, but so beautiful and graceful. I LOVE getting to see the whales. Drew was a little disheartened thinking that they had been "kidnapped" from their home in the ocean just to come and "make money" for people. I explained to him that these whales were born here at Sea World and don't know how to find food for themselves, so they would probably die in the ocean. (that's true right?) I just didn't want it to ruin his day.

It's tough being this cool, but Taylor makes it look easy.

Day one California...Some Beach

Our first full day in California was spent at Laguna Beach. We packed a picnic, bought a boogie board and set off.

This is me and Cam's wife, Jenni. Cam and Jen and their baby Trent drove in from Wickenburg, AZ to spend a couple of days with us in CA.

I guess we forgot to tell the boys that the water was FRIGID, here's Cam teaching Drew how to maneuver a boogie board. Towards the end of the day, I'd say Taylor and Drew both had it down pat. Til Uncle Cam broke the board. :(

Here's Trent enjoying his turn with the board. Nice and safe, no worries about sharks this way.

Drew and I were playing a game of catch with the velcro mits, I remembered playing with these on the beach when I was a kid, so when I saw them of course I had to get them.

We counted ourselves very lucky to actually catch this moment on film. They are touching eachother nicely and smiling. Take a moment to enjoy. However, this was the first day...

Spring Chicken

So Saturday we had a small get-together to celebrate the passing of Seth's 20's... This gorgeous cake was provided by the mother of the birthday boy. Mom Deb Clymer. Thanks it was delicious!!

I actually cut his hair earlier on Saturday and didn't notice any receding, so that was good. ;)

My darling Jennifer (Zelenko) Stoner was down from Montana for the weekend and was able to stop by and show off her gorgeous baby 8 month old Eliana. Jenny didn't get much chance to hold her own child throughout the evening. She's being held here by my mother(talking to my sis-in-law Adrienne) who happens to love babies, especially the girl kind, as our family seems to be in short supply...

So it was a great party, somewhat small as Seth is not a big fan of the spotlight so we compromised in numbers. Here's a little fun fact for you, as Seth turned the big 3-0 it marked the time when him and I have officially been together more than half our lives... I can't wait to spend 60 more with him, he's all I ever dreamed of for a husband, father and friend. I love you babe!

Spring Birthday Celebration

The Clymer family has tons of birthdays in February, March and April so Poppy Bill and Grandma Marge took us all our for breakfast in Cheyenne followed by some play time in the park. We don't sit still for long periods of time very well so we needed to get out some energy after breakfast.

Grandma Debbie decided in order to get serious about kickball she was going to need to remove her shoes.

Kelsi and Darci started out with some relaxing swinging until Seth gave them "underdogs" then they chickened out and got off.

We got a pretty competitive game of kickball going which might have disturbed a local hobo just trying to get a good nap in at the park. (Out of respect there is no photo of the hobo)

Without even trying we broke all of the playground rules. Way to go Clymers, you never disappoint!!!

Drew's Baptism

Drew was baptized on February 28th . He looked so handsome and grown up in his new suit.

Ahhhh.... so cute in white, looks so innocent. And for a moment he really was!

Of course Grandpa Jay was more than happy to oblige Drew in his request that he be baptized by his Grandpa.
While we were all still clean and smiling, we thought we'd snap a family portrait... Didn't notice the lovely dumpster in the back til later, bummer...

It was so much fun watching Drew learn about and gain the desire to be baptized. Despite Drew's ornriness, he has a deep seated love for his Savior and a testimony of the gospel that makes me very proud. He had a glow about him that day that I hope will stay with him always.

Puppy Love...Meet Claire

For those of you who haven't met our new "baby", let me introduce you to Claire, our Blue Tick Beagle. She is a little over 3 months old and the cutest puppy we've ever seen for about 5 years.

She was born with ears that she will need to grow into, but for now tilting her head to the side with said ears has been known to get her out of a lot of trouble.

The boys are head over heels in love with her, except when it's time to clean up the land mines she leaves around the house. Yes, the potty training has been a challenge to say the least.

But, she is the sweetest and snuggliest thing you've ever seen when she decides to leave Chloe (our lab) alone for a few minutes.

It has been fun to see the "hound" in her. She has the funniest hound dog howl that absolutely cracks us up.

Drew and Claire are really good buds and he seems to be able to calm her down when no one else can. So there's Claire!

Drew's birthday parties...

Drew got a new bat from Grandma Cheryl and Granpa Jay...awesome!!! Batting cages here we come!!

So for Drew's birthday this year we rented a gymnastics facility for the afternoon and let the kids run wild. They loved it! They swung from ropes, jumped from balance beams onto huge mats 20 feet high, did the zip lines etc. etc. etc. I would venture a guess that they all went home sufficiently worn out. Great party!!

We also reaped the benefits of Adrienne's uncanny ability to win anything she sets her mind to from the radio stations. We enjoyed an afternoon at the monster trucks along with pit passes that allowed us to visit with the driver's before the show and see the trucks up close. Thanks Age!

I forgot my camera for the party with the Clymers but we all enjoyed a dinner out at Red Robin where Drew was gifted with a pogo stick that he LOVES! Good job Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Lance! I think our record stands at 200 jumps, but that might be out of date already. Darci and Paul gave us more legos, thanks alot. Just kidding, my kids love legos and won't stop until we have our own Lego land! We also got lots of cards and money from our out of town relatives which went right to California spending money, so he's looking forward to that. So thank you everyone!

Corn Maze

Clint and Adrienne gave us passes to the corn maze for Taylor's birthday and we had a blast! Literally! We had to check out the pumpkin cannon of course and Taylor was the first one ever to hit the target. It was an awesome shot! Drew just looked scary behind a cannon!!

Who needs to hire someone to do their family portraits?!

We navigated pretty quickly through the corn maze thanks to Seth, I think he must have been an indian tracker in his former life...

Kelsi was quite excited about her new backpack... Sorry this was so long in coming but here are pics of T's birthday. We spent Saturday afternoon at a bowling alley doing cosmic bowling, thus the not-so-great pictures. We didn't think about that before we decided to do the party in the dark, but the kids loved it and that's the point really. Taylor had a few friends from school and then his cousins came with my parents. Clint and Payton joined us at the end after her volleyball game so that worked out. On Sunday we went over to Seth's mom and dad's in Berthoud and celebrated Taylor and Kelsi's birthdays. Her's is on the 25th so we've always done theirs together, well since Kels was 6 anyway! Taylor's grandparents all pitched in and got him a new bike (shocks, .... Lucky!) So he was quite excited because I had him convinced that it probably wasn't going to happen because the bike he had picked out was a little expensive. I know, I'm so mean. You will also get to experience the Clymer family's rendition of "Happy Birthday" ENJOY!

On Saturday the 20th we went down to Denver and watched a Rockies game. It was me, Seth, Taylor, Drew and my mom and dad. Those of you who don't know my family well our mantra has always been "Baseball is life..." When we walked into the stadium it was clear that our kids had the fever also. They lit right up. My parents really enjoyed sharing the kids' first MLB game with them, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It ended up being a great game, with a little rain, some bratwursts, peanuts, icecream and a foam finger. Let's just say that won't be our last Rockies game!!

Graduation!!

So today I graduated from Cosmetology school and my feelings are bittersweet. I'm excited and ready to see what I can do with this, but on the same token it's kinda scary. I made some wonderful friends while I was there that I hope to keep in touch with, and once in awhile I'm sure I'll pop into the school to see the owners and instructors that were unbelievably patient with me this past year. Thank you to all my friends and family that were a great support to me while I pursued my dream of going to school. Mom, I couldn't have done it without you. Your prize is of course free hair do's for life. I love you, thanks! My wonderful husband was amazingly supportive and that has meant so much to me. I guess he gets free hair do's for life also. Well, I'll finish up before this starts sounding even more like I'm accepting a Grammy. If you want to come see me I'll be taking appointments starting around the first of October, call my cell to get an appointment. (I won't be posting my cell # here, sorry)

Water World Happy Birthday Grandma Cheryl!!

We all went down to Water World for Grandma Cheryl's ?th birthday. It was great fun! The kids went non stop all day. We did get held up for a little while due to some lightning and rain. During that time while people left by the hundreds we ate some pizza and waited for things to clear up. After that we had almost no lines so did most of the rides again. Awesome!! We were definitely all dragging by the time they kicked us out, but we had a great time. Thanks Grandma!

Where did the summer go?!

Well, the last month has been crazy to say the least and now the kids go back to school on Thursday. They are ready although they don't think so... I am ready to get back to my own school full time so I can finish up, too. Taylor just got his bottom braces on yesterday so he is in quite a bit of pain, poor guy. Drew has been cranky the last week or so but I think he's just ready to be back in school with an organized schedule and seeing all of his friends again.
A couple weeks ago we spent the weekend at the lake with Grandpa Jay's family doing a lot of skiing, fishing, eating, tubing, etc. all the best things in the world. Most of the family was able to make it out so that was good. We got some great shots of the kids on tubes so we'll get those posted soon.
Last week we went down to AZ for my grandma Bobbi's (mom's mom) family reunion. She was the baby of 13 so she has a huge family. They do a whole weekend of camping because that gives you a chance to see everyone you want to catch up with. The last number I heard was 275 people. WOW! This was the first time we were able to see baby Trent, Cam and Jen's baby. He was 5 weeks old and absolutely gorgeous. Cam and Jen are wonderful parents and we were thrilled to see them and the baby. Casey and Brittny were also there with our adorable nephew Gavin. We got rain in the afternoons which equals mud so Gavin had a great time playing in the mud puddle with his daddy. Clint and Age drove down with their bunch along with my parents, so they had a full car! Our kids adore their cousins so they were happy as can be camping, fishing, and cliff diving (!) with them. We got lots of great pictures from our AZ road trip also that we'll post soon. So, our next post will most likely be back to school pictures, so stay tuned!

We had a pretty laid back weekend. We went to a wedding for a guy that we've known since he was a baby pretty much. His dad is the electrician that we started out working for all those years ago so we've kept in touch with the family through Tom. We knew him as Timmy Bieri, most people just call him Tim now. It was a beautiful ceremony and great reception. His older brother is our age and we were able to meet his new son Jacob who is adorable and has his dad's big brown eyes. It's fun to catch up with people and see where their lives are heading.
Yesterday we went down to Wiggins where my friend Megan has a farm. They are harvesting wheat right now so the boys were able to ride along in the combines and talk the ears off of the drivers. They had a great time though!

America's favorite past time...

The last two nights we have spent at the baseball fields. Taylor had a double header last night and Drew just had one game tonight. Taylor had two great hits last night one to right field and one right over 2nd base. They won their first game 14 to 7 and their second game 6 to 5. The second game was obviously a close game and very exciting to watch. Drew is still in coach/pitch so they bat around the batting order and then switch, not really any nail biters, but it's good to learn the basics :) Taylor has another double header tomorrow night and then that's the end of his season. Drew goes 2 more weeks then he's done. It's fun, but we're kindof over being at the fields 4 days a week!

Lake fun

This afternoon we all went over to the lake and enjoyed some tubing. A girl from church and her brother joined us and Taylor and Drew did "tube wars" with them. Basically if you survive, you win is how I look at it. I didn't get in the water, the climate wasn't just right for me, but the kids and the dog did. Grandpa Jay took one run on his slolemn (sp?) ski, but the water wasn't quite smooth enough for him. Suprise, suprise... (He's VERY particular) So, once again as soon as I know how I will post pics.
For those of you who don't know we got a new nephew last week. Cam and Jen welcomed their son Trenton Anthony on Thursday June 26. I just got the snapfish pics she sent over and he is absolutely adorable. We will be traveling down to AZ at the end of this month and will be anxious until then to meet our darling new nephew. Congratulations to Cam and Jen! We love you guys!

Hey all,
I am very new at this blogging thing, so you'll have to be patient with me as I figure out how to fill everything out. Seth will have to help me get pictures on so hopefully that will be soon. I just know how much I enjoy looking at everyone's pages, so I thought I'd better get going on one also. It's so nice that even though everyone is spread out we can feel like we're together through these awesome pages.
